Outer/Inner Diameter
These sensors measure the outer diameter of a cylindrical object. Although the measurements referenced here are single axis, measurements with two or more axes are also possible.
Two methods are possible for measuring inner diameters: a thrubeam type measurement instrument and a contact-type measurement instrument.
1D Optical Thrubeam Method
LS Series
This method measures a target's outer diameter. Ultra-high-speed sampling also makes it possible to measure both the outer diameter as well as the runout.
Point of selection
- Stable measurement with ultra-high accuracy
- Fast, non-contact measurement
- Measurement of transparent targets possible
Ultra High-Speed Optical Micrometer
LS-7000 Series
2D Optical Thrubeam Method
TM Series
This series is capable of measuring a target's inner diameter.
Because the object is captured as with a projector, multi-axis measurement and measurements like circularity are also possible.
Point of selection
- Measurement possible at multiple points simultaneously
- Highly stable
High-Speed 2D Measurement Sensor
TM-3000 Series
Contact-Type
GT Series
Outer diameter measurements are performed using two sensors. The contact-type system allows for highly accurate measurement.
Point of selection
- Target selection only determined by solidity
- High-precision measurement possible
High-Accuracy Digital Sensor
GT2 Series
