After raw materials are portioned and weighed, workers record their amounts and weights by hand. The data must be checked because it may be written or read incorrectly. However, data entered into a handheld computer can be printed from a mobile printer onto a label to be affixed where necessary. Eliminating writing and reading errors greatly increases the work efficiency.
