Chip reel verification in mounting processes

Chip reels are checked visually. Because user-caused errors cannot be avoided, double-checks and similar countermeasures are implemented, but there is a limit to their effectiveness. Verifying chip reels with a handheld computer prevents chip replacement errors. Text can also be read, so there is no need to convert it to barcodes, which makes it easier to introduce handheld computers.
