Because product slips have no barcodes, receiving inspections are performed visually. Visual inspections can create errors and therefore a second worker must double-check the results. However, this step is not necessary with a handheld computer because it scans the text or barcode on the slip. This greatly improves the work by improving accuracy while reducing the number of workers required.
